Auszug:

Have you seen the movie 'Westworld'?
Short review:
It's from the seventies, but the scenery takes place in the future. This future could be now and maybe it is. The two main characters Peter Martin and John Blane visit an amusement park, which consists of different theme worlds- where androids are programmed as characters.
The plot is based on a malfunction that spreads like a virus among the machines, enabling them to kill humans. This seems to happen everywhere and technicians are overwhelmed by the massacre taking place. Martin and Blane have chosen the "Old American West". Blane has to die, but Martin manages to escape. That's it. And 'Futureworld'?
The story of Westworld continues. The amusement park is opened again- Westworld is exchanged with Futureworld. There are two main characters again and they come to review the park as a harmless attraction- what turns out to be wrong. It escalates again as they discover that the robots are secretly cloning the visitors. A chase flares up and so on. Many people have to die.
As the story of these two science fiction movies is not as important for us as the set design, I emphasize: watch it. The idea, that robots serve as actors in an artificial reality, is interesting. It is interesting, because this reality is not virtual.
And this is bringing us to 'Restworld'.

It is produced just at this moment and handles as a documentary the parallels and similarities of the two fictional films (and the reality which is repeating in an analogy). Take the images in here as an impression. So...
Imagine you would find yourself as a character in a movie, although you had no idea that it would exist. It would mean that there was a record of your actions and an editing which would finish film pieces, transmitted to another point on this planet. What if it would reveal?
It would mean that your sourrounding is artificial and your life is composed according to a plot. The set is designed in our desired way and as your life is a movie, we want to keep you as a timeless simulation. This simulation is serving us as a copy of your intact past. We keep your past in a theme park under a geodesic dome.

As these domes are very simple to put up and additionally able to host complete environments, we took the first architectures and developped them to an extraordinary stage. We started off with „Biosphere 2“, an artificial habitat to research on the possibilty of materially closed ecological systems. The experiment was a success and our progress was granted.

Soon we discovered that we would be able to enlarge the system and even encircle a functioning human society. The first experiments were "Culturesphere 1 & 2", which were both tested with the agreement of two anonymous village populations. The temporary studies are based on the complete preservation of an island, which is hosting a tribe of indigenous humans. As conflicts all over the world keep spreading and hardening, it became a major objective to develop a light hemisphere which could be dropped via airplanes. This (of course) is still fiction. These hemispheres should cover mainly archeological sites which seem essential for the longing of our civilisation as it is existing now. Their inevitable destruction is an impossible possibility to us- that we have to face. But as it was mentioned before, we are still focussing on the possiblity to wrap functioning societies. This can only be assured, if they stay at least purblind.
